Target Audience
This activity is designed for surgeons practicing in the fields of general surgery, breast, endocrine, thoracic, colorectal, transplantation surgery and surgical oncology.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity learners should be able to:
- Discuss the latest techniques and current research specifically related to the fields of clinical surgery, experimental surgery, surgical education and the socioeconomic aspects of surgical care.
- Implement knowledge to their practices and to the education of residents, fellows and medical students to improve patient outcomes.
- Identify advances in breast cancer surgery.
This activity is designed to address the following core and team competencies: Patient Care, Medical Knowledge, Practice-based learning, Value and Ethics, and Interprofessional Communications.
