Back to Annual Meeting Program Single Incision MultiPort Laparoendoscopic (SIMPLE) Cholecystectomy: The Single Incision Technique that Resembles the 4 Instrument Conventional Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy A Compilation of a Single Surgeon's Experience over 3.5 years and 218 Patients Bruce Molinelli Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich, CT In the last three years more papers have been published regarding single incision surgery. As this emerging procedure formulates, a variety of approaches are described. The technique described here has been based on a single surgeon’s experience and development of 218 single incision multiport laparoscopic cholecystectomies from June 2008 through February 2012 of which the last 156 procedures were performed as described below. The development of this technique has come full circle back to a more familiar and comfortable 4 instrument technique currently used in conventional laparoscopic cholecystectomies today. The technique described is easily reproducible and has not been previously published. Back to Annual Meeting Program
